Volunteering and Improving Your College Admissions

We’re now officially a week into the 2016 and, more likely than not, the resolutions you were bound to keep have become new habits. The others…well, perhaps they weren’t meant to be. So, this one-week anniversary is a natural moment to pause, reflect and consider what we hoped to accomplish with our resolutions and why we made them. Our motivations express two desires: to improve ourselves and to improve the world around us.

Volunteering after a breakup

Posted on January 28, 2016 by Sina
Last summer, around the same time I started working for Golden, my friend Ellen asked me if I’d be interested in doing a little Q&A about breakups for Mend. How to be a Golden volunteer

Posted on December 22, 2015 by Sam
The best way to have a good time at a Golden Opportunity is to pick one that appeals to you. It doesn’t have to appeal to someone else’s high ideals, really, being interested in skateboarding or singing is a good place to start. We’ll help you discover the greater purpose of applying those interests during and after you spend time and meet people there.

Follow the Golden Rules

Do unto others As you’d have them do unto you. This is the single principle underlying everything we do. Every detail of our experiences, resources, legal agreements, internal communications, and value created from our platform is derived from human beings making sound decisions for themselves that may positively affect other people.

Finally: A simple background check

Posted on December 22, 2015 by Sam
Some things are better learned earlier than later. That’s the idea behind doing a background check before allowing a volunteer to participate an an activity. Until Golden, this process was complicated, expensive and time consuming.

Our story
